Unveiling the Perfect Packaging Solution

CORRUGATED BOXES

Kanco Speciality Packaging produces a diverse range of corrugated boxes, including custom-designed options, in order to meet the unique packaging needs of our customers.

REGULAR SLOTTED CARTON (RSC)

This is the most widely used corrugated box. All the flaps have equal depth, and the two outer flaps, which are typically the longer flaps, are half the width of the container. When folded, these flaps meet at the center of the box.

Tray

This design is highly efficient as it minimizes overlapping, with the only overlap occurring at the flap used for adhesive or stitching of the manufacturer’s joint, as well as the inner or minor flaps.

Printed cartons are suitable for a wide range of products and are the most commonly used box style.

WRAPAROUND

The joint fold is not as deep as the full side panel, and the end flaps do not overlap. Furthermore, the dimensions are less elongated. Essentially, the completed box resembles an RSC (Regular Slotted Container) that has been turned sideways, ensuring uninterrupted top and bottom surfaces.

However, the joint is not created until the final closure on the automated packaging line. A wrap-around carton is transformed into a box by tightly folding it around a rigid product. This method of packing on the production line is efficient and snug. The cartons fold evenly, providing better stability when stacked on pallets. The product positioning, folding, and sealing processes are all performed automatically by machinery.

Lock Bottom

Auto-lock bottom boxes are heavy-duty folding cartons that feature a bottom that automatically locks when the container is assembled. They generally ship flat to save on shipping space and costs. As they can be easily customized, they are a popular packaging option for retail products.

Snap Bottom

Snap bottom boxes have bottom flaps that interlock with one another to facilitate box closure without tape or glue. They can be manual locking or auto-locking. They are ideal for bulky but lightweight items, such as clothes and baked goods.

Litho-lam

Litho-Laminating is a process of creating high graphic decorative designs on corrugated boxes. Litho-lam boxes can be 3-ply or 5-ply and are popular as they have the functional properties of a corrugated box and the top layer is a high graphic offset printed sheet which helps in marketing aspects.

OTHER STRUCTURAL DESIGN CARTON

In addition to the typical cartons commonly employed for packaging completed products, there exist countless variations of corrugated packaging designs. Thanks to modern advancements in die-cut mold design, it is now possible to create a wide range of carton shapes tailored to meet specific packaging needs and cater to different market points of sale.
